Week 3

Hi, it's me again! Join me as I explore my experiences during Week 3 of my OJT. This week, I continued to gain new knowledge as a member of the Technical Support team in our department.

Similar to Week 2, my main task was to assist the Technical Support Team in troubleshooting various problems reported by different departments on campus. We received numerous calls regarding asset issues that needed our attention. Therefore, I was still assigned to troubleshoot the problems in some departments.








I was tasked with troubleshooting the PCs located in the Learning Commons of the Senior High School building. There were three system units that needed to be taken out in order to fix them in our office since most of the problems were related to the hardware or components inside the units.

After removing the system units and performing diagnostics, I found that the problem with two of the units was related to the Power Supply, while the other one had an issue with the CMOS battery. One of the Technical Support team members advised me to inform the department head where the units came from, so they could request brand new parts to fix their assets and resume normal operations.








This photo of me was taken in our office three days after the requested parts arrived. In the picture, I am seen assembling and setting up the system units so that I could return them to the Learning Commons department. 

After completing all the necessary tasks, I successfully returned the system units and fixed the problems that needed to be addressed. See you all next week for more exciting experiences!
